Digital transformation and big data for national healthcare provider

We brought operational experience and tech know-how for big data systems. The initial engagement required us to support and maintain the existing system while preparing for the launch of the new national system six months later. We continued this work as we moved into the pre-launch phases of two key components of the new system: the single repository for healthcare data, and the service used to identify users on the platform. We rebuilt the foundations of these two systems as both were brought back in-house. After the new platform was successfully launched, our engagement developed further, our capabilities proved.

Enabling organisational transformation and realising the benefits

As the engagement developed, we played a key role in our client’s organisational transformation. Before the launch of the new platform, our client had been primarily an outsourcing organisation that consumed external IT services. With our support, they transformed their approach to technology are they are now able to design, build, and operate their own services. Our client is now designing and developing the next generation of data, messaging and identity products for clinicians, commissioners and consumers. The fundamental difference in approach post-transformation is expressed in the way that our blended teams and tech leads continue to build services in collaboration with the client, not as external outsourcers working in a traditional supplier relationship.
