Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) annual customer conference, re:Invent, kicks off today, but unlike in previous years, this year’s event will be virtual and free to watch.

Hosted for the global cloud computing community, re:Invent 2020 is AWS’ flagship conference and this year it will run for three weeks – starting today (30 Nov) and running to 18 Dec.

The event will feature hundreds of streaming sessions across 50+ content tracks with live Q&A by AWS and partner experts. Attendees will be able to hear from cloud leaders and be the first to learn what’s new and what’s next from AWS, as well enjoy interactive favourites like DeepRacer, GameDay, and Jams.

To help make sense of the enormous amount of content that will come from the conference, AWS user group, Community Summit Online (CSO) has pulled together a team of expert pundits to discuss and explore the announcements.

The [email protected]:Invent coverage, which is being sponsored by Infinity Works, kicks off this evening and features various events being held across the next three weeks. You can register for free to watch the community-focussed coverage and to be in with a chance of getting your hands on an AWS ComSum t-shirt and swag.

As an Advanced Consulting Partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN), we have a large number of people who are passionate about AWS, two of which will be joining [email protected]:Invent as pundits. Principal Consultant, Adrian Hesketh, and Consultant Software Engineer, Georgia Gage, have been tasked with bringing you the must-see moments from the conference, the big surprises, and their top picks of re:Invent news. In the words of Adrian, “let the pundits bring you the latest and greatest from re:Invent in bite-sized form while you sit back and enjoy the show!”

You will be able to hear Adrian’s and Georgia’s thoughts during the following [email protected]:Invent events:

  • Monday 30 November – pre:Invent (17.00-19.00)
  • Friday 4 December – Week in:Review (14.00-16.00)
  • Friday 11 December – Week in:Review (14.00-16.00)
  • Friday 18 December – Wrap Up (14.00-16.00)

In addition to the [email protected]:Invent coverage, Adrian will be sharing his top takeaways from the event through a series of weekly blogs this website so keep your eyes peeled.
